Are there any good science fiction books for people who dont like science fiction books?

I have to read a science fiction book over the summer for my new class. Im not really in rush for it rite now, but i kind of want the book early so i can get it done. Do you have any suggestions? Oh and it has to be young adult. Please help, i do not like science fiction books and i want to get it over with.

What would you want and expect from a good science fiction book?

5) should it be complicated, but still undertandable or should it be simple?

Even if it’s science fiction, it’s sceince so it has to have facts, real things that exist not only fction…
7) does it bother you if the information could be right, but it really isn’t?

Tyvm. I love science fiction and i’m just curious. I’m also a writer so i wanna know.

1) i have many special talents, one of which is being on a sports team at my school that resembles soccer, baseball, and rugby. i have an unusal pet. who am i?

2) I started out in a rock band and became very popular with a certain group of fans. I went into a rehab on several occasions. my life turned a different direction with a popular hit TV show. Who am i?

3) I am well known for writing a classic science fiction novel depicting the daners of social apathy. A controversial filmaker stole from me. i am currently suing him. who am i?

4) I had a successful film career until a drug habit got the best of me. after a brief prison sentence, i joined the cat of a popular Tv show. however, my drug problem forced me into jail and temporarily ended my acting career, since i do not consider chessy music videos acting.

5) I live on the street and make my own home, i have my own way of transportation but i do not go anywhere because of “sunny days” i got lost once and had some difficulty finding my way home because people followed me.

6) i am a successful businnessman who ran for president and made numerous appearanes on cable tv. i almost won and might have if people took me more seriously.

Does anyone know if you can buy the old 1960s tv series Chiller or Strange Tales on VHS video or DVD?

I know they were not as popular as Twilight Zone, Star Trek or other science fiction series, but I would really like to see those programs of a long time ago again.
