Water for Elephants. It is brilliant.

The Road. Also brilliant.

Very nice to know some future classics are appearing in the muck.

----
They're, Their, There - Three Different Words.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.

Read Parable of The Sower by Octavia E. Butler. It's very interesting! It's a science fiction story though, but not the typical kind. Believe me, you'll love reading this book.
But the best thing to do is to go to the book store and pick up a book that you think is interesting. Personally, I randomly choose a couple of books and read them. That way I'm not influenced by the name of the author, or the reviews they've gotten

Audrey Rose by Frank De Felitta

It's about a little girl that died in a fiery car accident being reincarnated. It's a very good book....I just can't remember much about it.

One I really like is Journey to the Center of the Earth. It kept me entertained on a plane ride, and was really interesting. If you like things leaning towards more geology and biology type stories, I'd definitely recommend this one.
