Good book for a deep reader?

classic science fiction
stinedreel asked:

I am a big reader. I am huge on science fiction and fantasy books. But some of the books we read in school, ex: The Scarlet Letter,The Giver, To Kill a Mockingbird etc. Theses books were all written a while ago and are now considered classics. I was wondering ic any of you could give me some more books that are in this same category almost? And I have another quest for you.

I want books that I can read today, that my children will be learning about in school in 30 years.

Thank you.

A new one that might be around for a long time. The Enigma book… find it here. A free read: 10th on the list. Fun, but it will make you think.

it’s quite significant since it explains the crazy situation we have these days of evangelicals taking the country to war. What was behind that? After all, Christ taught “turn the other cheek.”

It’s the story of a couple of kids who do some interpretation on their own and discover an enormous number of theological errors.
