Anyone have any recommendations? (Feel free to name more than 3!)
I don’t really want any classics though.
I love romance and science fiction/fantasy. But they don’t necessarily have to be only in those genres.
Thanks!
(:
Okay.. Seriously, no Twilight or Gossip Girl or ANYTHING along those lines.

if you read ‘twilight’ like that girl suggested youll sure be surprised… it was not very well written.
So B. It.
is so amazing and touching and
The Lovely Bones
So. B. It. is about a girl hiedi, and her mom is mentally disabled. when a word her mother uses starts to haunt hiedi she sets out on a journey across the country to find out what it really means.
The lovely bones is about a girl who is murdered. the whole book is her point of view from heaven as she watches her friends move on and her murderer cover his tracks.
Don’t know if these are what you wanted or not…
These were really good books i liked….
* Where the Red Fern grows
* Ice fire
Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews
Jemima J by Jane Green
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
How to teach filthy rich girls by Zoey Dean
Doomsday Conspiracy by Sidney Sheldon
Mine are Spectacular by Janice Kaplin
Bachelorette #1 by Jennifer O’Connell
If you haven’t read the Twilight series of course its great, (only the first book in my opinion). I love the gossip girl series as well, also the Nicolas Sparks books are fantastic and he just came out with a new one, The Lucky One.
the book of flying - keith miller
a wrinkle in time - madeleine l’engle
brave story - miyuki miyabe (translator: alexander smith)
Have you tried The name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss or The shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
The first is part of a fantasy trilogy (part 2 is due for release later this year), the second is set in Spain. They both have elements of mystery and romance.

The Night Land
by William Hope Hodgson
[O]ne of the strangest visions ever published in science fiction or fantasy is presented. The Sun has gone out: the Earth is lit only by the glow of residual vulcanism. The last few millions of the human race are gathered together in a gigantic metal pyramid, the Last Redoubt, probably the first arcology in literature, under siege from unknown forces and Powers outside in the dark. These are held back by a Circle of energy, known as the “air clog,” powered from the Earth’s internal energy. For millennia, vast living shapes - the Watchers - have waited in the darkness near the pyramid: it is thought they are waiting for the inevitable time when the Circle’s power finally weakens and dies. Other living things have been seen in the darkness beyond, some of unknown origins, and others that may once have been human.¡ª Excerpted from The Night Land on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
