Try Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series. Start with “Die Trying” or “Killing Floor” and you’ll never look back. Great reads!
Yes , either The House on the Borderland or The Night Land written by William Hope Hodgson .
:0)
The best fiction I’ve EVER read was Anne Rice’s “Vittorio (The Vampire)”. Wow, I must have read that entire novel in 3 or 4 nights, I was just taken away by it and I can still see all the images in my mind as though I was actually there myself as Rice’s beautiful character Vittorio. Her best work, at least from what I’ve read. Absolutely incomparable.
Some other amazing works of fiction I’ve read recently are (in this order):
~”The Iliad”, if you don’t already know it’s by the ancient poet Homer then where have you been the past 3000 years?
~”Malevil” by Robert Merle
~”Christ the Lord Out of Egypt” also by Anne Rice. Her latest work.
~The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks
~”Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall” by Spike Milligan. Absolutely hilarious.
Go to the library and look for books by James Michener. Start at one end of the shelf and work your way to the other. You will be thoroughly entertained and educated. He thoroughly researched the material for every book. While the characters are fictional, the facts are historically true. I started when I discovered “The Source” which is an excellent history of the Jewish people in addition to being a top notch action thriller.
In his book “Chesapeake” I learned a ton about the area where I live, the Maryland shore.
I guarantee, if you are the reader you say you are, you will not tire of Micheners books.

John Marsden the Tomorrow Series is really fantastic.
Anything by RA Salvatore is good, but I prefer his Drizzt series. Homeland is the first book in that.
.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is a very good series.
.
Warhammer has some very good Sci/Fi and fantasy books. Dan Abnett is one of the better authors.
.
Terry Brooks is a pretty good Fantasy author.
.
JR Ward’s Dark brotherhood series is really good if you like romance.
.
They just released a new James Bond novel called Devil May Care
.
History wise, theres a John Adams Bio out thats been selling well, but that might just be because of the movie/special released based on it.
.
Animal based books, Chosen by a Horse or rescuing Sprite are supposed to be very good
.
Teen novels I’d suggest Uglies by Westerfeld, any of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes books, or either of the series by LJ Smith (Vampire Diaries and Night world).
.
Just give me more specific details on what you like and I can find you plenty
Ghost Boy by Ian Lawrence
Seven Deadly Sins series by Robin Wasserman
Naughts & Crosses series by Malorie Blackman
Uglies saga by Scott Westerfeld
The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory
Children of the River by Linda Crew
Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz
The Vampire Diaires by L.J. Smith
