No limits… well, other than they have to be from a book.
Which character had a real impact on you?
Why that particular character, out of all those little people roaming around on the pages of all those books in the library or bookstore?
I have no doubt that someone is going to say Edward Cullen. Probably more than one someone. But, if you must. If that is your absolutely most beloved character. Then go right ahead.
My choice would have to be Sydney Carton, from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.
I’m not one who swoons over the classics. No where close, in fact. I love science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, and all things new and creative. The classics make my skin crawl.
But Sydney Carton.. wow. Talk about your multi-dimensional charater. While he was being brave and noble for the first time, I was blubbering like a baby.

My choice is Arianna Gasparini from Stravaganza: City of Masks. She is tenacious, beautiful, and talented. I wish that Bellezza was real and that I could be a Stravagante… I would not fit in though…
this question is lik so easy it ansers itself!!! EDWARD of COZ!!! hes dam hot, nice nd lik the perf bf!!!! i lik wud ttly do him if he was real!!!
EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is amazing and super gorgeous!!! i love him soooooooooooo much. he is soooo sweet and hilarious. its soooo funny, i love him and the whole twilight series, i mean, how can’t you love him?? I’ll tell you how, its absolutely IMPOSSIBLE not to love him!!!!! seriously
Edward Cullen
Mine would probably be someone like Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy’s many books. It’s just extremely interesting to watch him progress through life, all the way to the point of becoming President of the U.S.
I have a lot, but I’ll list them.
1. Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter.
2. Jacqueline de Bellefort from Death on the Nile.
3. Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
4. Marianne Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility.
5. Opal from The Prophecy of the Stones.
6. Wanderer and Melanie from The Host.
And there are more, but those are all of the ones I can think of–for now!
lol yes, u guessed right. EDWARD CULLEN!! u’re psychic
but i’d also have to say susie salmon from ‘the lovely bones’ by alice sebold. i loved that book immensely.
I loved Owen Meany from ‘A Prayer For Owen Meany’.
That book just gave me shivers down my spine, its one of the most amazing books I have ever read.
It had me in tears, I don’t know whether it was from happiness or sadness.
After I read it I felt silly that I could like a book character as if he was real.
I’m sorry I’m not gonna dissappoint you!
EDWARD CULLEN!!!
He is the ideal man!!!
Edward Cullen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol jk. He used to be until i read the first chapter of Midnight Sun and because I read all 3 Twilight books in 5 days all at once so my memory of them is slowly fading away since breaking dawn is taking so long to come out. So i think my favorite would have to be Samantha from A time for Dancing and The Farther you run By Davida Wills Hurwin. I felt for Samantha especially when her best Friend died from cancer when they were just 17. I love all the characters from those aforementioned books. Davida Wills Hurwin wrote 2 classics that left me in tears.
Unbelievbly difficult question! It’s like picking your favorite child (in an army of children!) At a push I will say Mara of the Acoma from Raymond E. Feist/Wurts Empire series. She has such strength and she takes power in a world dominated by men, using her brain instead of simpering for others to champion her cause…in short, she is her own champion and her own salvation. I love that - and she is well written. As a side note - (i agree with you…most “literary aclaimed works” have me snoozing within minutes) but Atticus Finch is one character that has stayed with me- like Mara of the Acoma, he has the ability to think outside his own time..to acknowledge a better way of doing things and of living, and then using intellect to make those ideas the norm. So many….
LoL edwerd coz hez soo romantik.
Stop with this edward nonsense
My favorite would have to be Frankenstein’s daemon in Frankenstein.
I like him because of how he is misunderstood. I also really enjoy his change in his state f mind, before he was a human-loving creature, turned into a misanthrope, and Shelley allows that complete change be seen. Also, his confession at the end og the book was suprising because I would have never guessed that X_X
What can I say?? EDWARD CULLEN is so perfect i swear if he were real , I’d be all over that. lol. (Twilight Series)
Other than the obvious above….
Bella Swan (Twilight series)
Harry Potter (Harry Potter series)
Mr.Darcy (Pride & Prejudice)
I would say Edward Cullen but I have no clue who that is. For me I’d probably have to go with Jubal Harshaw from Stranger in a Strange Land. Pretty much everything about the book was amazing but Jubal just had so much depth. I enjoy books that get you thinking and Jubal just had so many views that I can really relate to.
