    Yeah, it’s AWESOME :)
It’s really nice actually, it’s interesting, specially if you’re interested in other life-forms.

my little brother (jr in high school) saw it and said it was great…. but it only has a 22% on RottenTomatoes (eeek!!! that’s uber-low)

Your money is better spent buying a copy of the original and watching this one on HBO or something. It’s not awful, but it’s not great. It keeps the less important story elements of the original, but fails at recapturing anything resembling the point of the original. It’s extremely preachy about the environment…and that’s the whole story with the only lingering question of “can we change?” It plays on the old idea of “humans are really destructive and awful…but for some reason we really like them, so I guess we’ll take care of them after all” without updating it particularly. Watching Q argue with Capt. Picard still seems more original on that point.

There is a really nice bit with John Cleese, and while, again, its something we’ve heard before, Cleese and that little chunk are unique and wonderful. But less than 10 minutes of wonderfulness isn’t worth theater prices. Really save the planet by not wasting the gas and wait for Blockbuster or tv.

It’s pretty good actually..some scenes weren’t good enough, but i still think it’s a great movie.
