“The Andromeda Strain” is superb(and I think someone’s going to remake it unfortunately…why bother? Oh yeah..money). “The Omega Man” is really worth checking out as well
Edit: I have a feeling “The Omega Man” has been remade as well…The original version’s the best either way

Like the original Planet of the Apes, eh? Didn’t like the 14 sequels that followed? I suppose you appreciate movies with big twists. I recommend the 13th Floor, ExistenZ, Kill Bill (vol1 &2), the Island, Gattaca, Pitch Black, Back to the Future Trilogy, and the Fountain. Most of the these have a major sci-fi appeal.

The Day the Earth Stood Still.
    Forbidden Planet.
    Zulu.
The Man Who Would Be King.

    Just to name four.
